1906 — Molly Harrower was born. Harrower, a clinical researcher, developed the group Rorschach test, first described in her book Large Scale Rorschach Techniques: Personality Change and Development, as Measured by the Projective Techniques (1945, with Matilda Steiner).
1909 — The first White House Conference on Children began with an address by President Theodore Roosevelt. The focus of the conference was the welfare of children dependent on the state. White House Conferences have been held every 10 years since this first meeting.
1933 — Edwin G. Boring's book Physical Dimensions of Consciousness was published.
1958 — Philippe Pinel appeared on a French postage stamp issued on this day.
