On July 29:

1893 — Pierre Janet received his MD degree under Jean-Martin Charcot.

1906 — Muzafer Sherif was born. Sherif's "Robber's Cave" experiments were the best known of his many studies of social norms, attitude formation, social change, conflict resolution, and group processes. APA Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award, 1968.

1926 — Florence L. Goodenough's Measurement of Intelligence by Drawings was published, describing Goodenough's Draw-A-Man Test.

1976 — The first National Asian American Psychology Training Conference was held in Long Beach, California. The conference addressed the special needs for psychological research and service related to Asian American populations.
